The Charles E. Cornell House – Ithaca, NY

The Charles E. Cornell House is located at 508 Stewart Ave.  It is one block from the Cornell Law School in lower Collegetown.  It is an outstanding example of Arts & Crafts homes that were built in the Ithaca community at the turn of the century.  We have completely restored the interior of the house and have reclaimed the hardwood floors, Doric columns, expansive windows and fine woodwork detail that is original to the house. The house is well located between downtown Ithaca and Cornell University.  There are two cafes and a famous brew pub on the next block.  The house has a total of 10 bedrooms and 5 baths along with living room/dining area, gourmet kitchen, parlor, sitting room, back deck, yard, parking ( for 5 cars) and laundry on site. The floor plan of the house includes the following:

1^st floor – 3 bedrooms with queen or double bed in each, two full baths, living room/dining area with TV, sitting room, full kitchen, back deck and yard.

2^nd floor – 5 bedrooms with double or queen bed and one with an extra twin bed, sitting room with couch and TV, 2 full baths, kitchenette.

3^rd floor – small but full kitchen, full bath with claw foot tub, great room with king bed, sofa, TV table and chairs, bedroom with double bed.

All bedrooms are air conditioned and there is wireless internet in the main lobby and many of the bedrooms. All rooms are furnished with linens and towels.  Since we are a guest house we do not do daily maid service although it can be provided at an extra charge and by special arrangement.  We do not serve breakfast but there are two excellent breakfast spots within 2 blocks of the house.
