Fly directly into the Ithaca airport on US Airways or Northwest for the most convenient travel. We are located 60 miles southeast of the Syracuse, NY airport, and 90 miles southeast of Rochester, NY.

Ithaca has several taxi companies, and there is usually a taxi waiting at the airport. To call a taxi, call the Ithaca Dispatch at 607-277-7777.

How do I get from the Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport to the Whalen Center for Music at Ithaca College?

Begin at Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport and go south on Warren Rd.  Turn right onto NY-13 south.  This takes you into Ithaca.  Once in town, follow the signs for NY-96B.  (Turn left onto Clinton St., then right on Aurora St.)  Ithaca College will be on your left when you near the top of the hill.  Turn left into the main entrance for the college (there is a large stone marker saying “Ithaca College”) and follow the signs for “Concert Parking.”  (Make the first right.  At the first stop sign, choose the middle of three roads.  This road continues up a hill.  The next stop sign brings you to a parking lot.)  Go ahead and park your car.  You will see two large towers.  These are dorms, and not the music building.  To the left of the towers is the Baker Walkway.  Go through the walkway and either take the elevator down to the Lobby level, or take the stairs down to the fourth floor.  You are now in the Whalen Center for Music. 

Where is the registration area? 

Follow the directions to get to the Whalen Center for Music listed above.  Go into the Whalen Center via the Baker Walkway.  Take the elevator down to “L” level (Lobby/Hockett Recital Hall level) or take the stairs down to the fourth floor.  Go through the set of glass doors, and you will see the McHenry Lounge.  This is where all registration will take place.

How do I get from the Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport to Ithaca College Campus Safety?
           
Begin at Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport and go south on Warren Rd.  Turn right onto NY-13 south.  This takes you into Ithaca.  Once in town, follow the signs for NY-96B.  (Turn left onto Clinton St., then right on Aurora St.)  Ithaca College will be on your left when you near the top of the hill.  Turn left into the main entrance for the college (there is a large stone marker saying “Ithaca College”).  Follow the turn-about as if you were making a left turn at the turn-about.  Go past several playing fields and the visitor’s parking lot.  Turn left at the next intersection.  The Public Safety and General Services Building will be on your right. 

How do I get from Ithaca College to Sheldrake Point Winery?
           
Exit Ithaca College through the main entrance and turn right onto NY-96B. 
Turn right onto Meadow St. (NY-13N). 
Turn left onto Buffalo St.  (NY-89/NY96).  
Continue following NY-89.   (Turn right onto Taughannock Blvd.)  
Turn right onto CR-139. 
Turn right onto CR-153.

How do I get to Bailey Hall from Ithaca College?  Will there be parking? 

Bailey Hall is on Cornell University’s campus.  Exit through the entrance of Ithaca College and turn right onto NY-96B.  Turn right onto Cayuga St.  (You are following the Aurora St. detour.)  Turn right onto Green St, and then a slight right onto State St/NY-79.  Turn left onto Stewart Ave.  Turn right onto Campus Rd.  Turn left onto East Ave, and then right onto Tower Rd.  Turn left onto Garden St. (may be marked as “Garden St. Extension”).  Bailey Hall will be on your left.

To park your car for the event at Bailey Hall:

Follow the directions above until you are on Campus Rd.  Stay on Campus Rd. past East Ave.  Turn right onto Statler Dr.  The Schoellkopf Parking Garage will be on your left-hand side.

Don't want to park in the parking garage?  Try parking at the Dairy Bar. 

Follow the original directions to Bailey Hall until you are on Tower Rd.  Continue on Tower Rd. until you reach Judd Falls Rd.  The parking lot is to your left.

How do I get to the downtown/Commons area from Ithaca College?

Exit Ithaca College through the main entrance and turn right onto NY-96B.  You will see a stop-light at the bottom of the hill (just past the police station).  Turn right onto Cayuga St.  Turn right onto Green St.  Go past State St., and turn left on Seneca St.  There is a parking garage on the right, just across from Starbuck’s.  (You can either park in the garage for a fee, or find parking with one of the parking meters.)  The downtown area is between Seneca St. and Green St. 

How do I get from Ithaca College to the Pyramid Mall? 
           
Exit Ithaca College through the main entrance and turn right onto NY-96B.  Turn right onto Meadow St. (NY-13N).  Follow this until the Pyramid Mall/Triphammer Rd. exit, and take that exit.  Turn left and go over the overpass. Turn left at the second stop-light.  You will see the mall in front of you.  Park your car and go shopping!

How do I get to Campus Safety?

Enter the College through the enterance on 96B.  You will see a turn-about in front of you.  Take the turn-about as if you were really making a left-hand turn.  This road will curve around past the visitor's parking lot and various sports fields.  You will come to a stop-sign with a lake on your left across the street.  Turn left here.  (This is also the first left you can make after the visitor's parking lot).  Campus Safety will be the first building on your right slightly down the hill.  If you start going over speed bumps, you have gone too far.  The entire building is the Campus Safety Building.
